Caspian Airlines, a US-designated airline affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been receiving aviation parts through German companies, despite the airline's role in transferring military personnel and weapons across the Middle East.
According to our analysis, Aviation Spares Distribution GmbH, Resurgent Aviation Solutions and L&H Trading GmbH have the largest share of supplying Caspian Airlines with parts.
ASD - Aviation Spares Distribution GmbH
ASD, a procurement company specializing in aviation parts, operates from Russelsheim, Germany. The company has admitted to using a different company, Zeus Aero GmbH, listed in Nauheim, to trade spare parts with Caspian Airlines. However, ASD continues to trade directly with the airline, indicating that the two companies may be "sister companies" rather than a complete replacement. A formal letter from ASD to Caspian Airlines regarding the replacement of ASD with Zeus Aero - The letter also discloses ASD's banking information. An invoice from Zeus Aero GmbH to Caspian Airline From March 2022. A formal letter from Caspian Airlines to Exchange House "fcf" regarding the transfer of 92,200 Euros to Zeus Aero GmbH, accompanied by the original SWIFT transfer for that exact deal, which was made by a Turkish front company named "Alpha Imperial Dis Ticaret Limite Sirketi". The funds were transferred using German banking Commerzbank as an intermediary.
Resurgent Aviation Solutions Group Resurgent Aviation Solutions Group has two linked companies, SKV Focus Resurgent Aviation Solutions and MRS Resurgent Aviation Solutions GmbH, that also provide Caspian Airlines with aviation parts. Both companies are located in the same building as Aviation Spares Distribution GmbH (ASD) on Robert-Bunsen-Str. 75 A, in Russelsheim, suggesting a direct link between the two groups.
Documents obtained include an account statement for Caspian Airlines shared between sister companies MRS and SKV Focus.
L&H Trading GmbH
L&H Trading GmbH, another procurement company specialized in aviation parts, operates from Bremen, Germany, and has either an Iranian presence or complete ownership (As can be seen in a letter sent to Caspian Airlines in Persian). The company traded frequently with Caspian Airlines and was accused of providing similar services to Mahan Air, another Iranian airline affiliated with the IRGC, but was not sanctioned for it.
