Dear Captain Perakis, In response to your request for documents, you may see attached: - Charterparty dated 01 October 2020 for the charter of MT Oman Pride by Baslam Petrol (our company) - Swift message for freight payment of 4.24 million EUR (5 million USD) from Baslam Petrol to La Mere Maritimes - Warranty of title proving the ownership of the cargo by Baslam Nakliyat (also our company) We believe these would be satisfactory proof of our rights on the vessel Oman Pride and its cargo. Please be informed that prior to the cargo transferred to your vessel, we loaded another cargo on another vessel operated by Valorous Shipping and we are still experiencing similar problems of unauthorized actions with that cargo as well. Seeing the same pattern happening second time with the unauthorized STS to your vessel, it raises serious suspicions of smuggling and other illegal acts. As a result of this situation we are forced to take all necessary measures against all involved parties to protect our interests, including but not limited to detaining the involved vessels and their cargo. Please be informed that prior to the cargo transferred to your vessel, we loaded another cargo on another vessel operated by Valorous Shipping and we are still experiencing similar problems of unauthorized actions with that cargo as well. Seeing the same pattern happening second time with the unauthorized STS to your vessel, it raises serious suspicions of smuggling and other illegal acts. As a result of this situation we are forced to take all necessary measures against all involved parties to protect our interests, including but not limited to detaining the involved vessels and their cargo.
